Students and teachers all over Fort Wayne will learn, have fun, stay active, and share in the excitement of Sculpture with Purpose™.
The IPFW Sculpture with Purpose™ School Bicycle Art program lets schools share in the excitement by creating eco-friendly bike art while encouraging participation in public art and physical fitness.
During the 2013–14 academic year, we’ll invite area schools to participate. Schools will be given recycled bikes to creatively repurpose into art. Each newly designed bike will be displayed at the FAME (Foundation for Art and Music Education) Festival in March 2014. Then, in May 2014, the school art bikes will be attached to the sculptures for the official unveiling of the sculptures throughout Fort Wayne.
